Morning Radio Thoughts

I was listening to the radio this morning; and a woman caller was on the air....I had just joined in, so I don't know what the topic was - but she had an interesting phrase that she used to get her point across. She said, "When you stop worrying what people around you think you will realize that they are rarely thinking about you." When I heard this, I thought it was so true. So many of us spend a large amount of our lives (me included) worrying about what others think about our actions, appearance, gracefulness (or lack thereof), thoughts, etc. - and....for what? When I really started to think about it - I don't think about other people that much - so why would they analyze me? It seems a little selfish to think that they would spend time thinking about you when they also lead busy lives.

I would like to say that I don't care what others think about me - but that is far from the truth. That phrase just helped me to realize that it doesn't matter - because people aren't really paying attention anyway. I hope that I can spend less time "worrying" about what others might think and doing what I think is best....and then not apologizing if it isn't exactly what others think is "right". Because, in the end, it doesn't really matter.
